Hello!
My name is Taylor Talamantes and I'm the founder of Sensory Cuts.
I'm a licensed Barber with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and I've had more than 4 years experience in the ABA field as a Registered Behavioral Technician.
During my time as an ABA therapist, I wanted to expand my Horizon. That is where the idea of sensory Cuts came into play! I wanted to specialize in cutting hair for people who struggle with sensory disorders. I then began my journey to attend barber school. Throughout that time I was working a full-time job and going to school at the same time. Eventually the hard work paid off and I was able to receive my barber's license! I was finally able to start chasing this idea I've had in my head for years.
Sensory Cuts has been in the making for over 3 years. It has been my dream to fulfill this part of my life and I have been lucky enough to get there with the help of a few people. I plan to continue to grow and continue to provide amazing results for families who suffer from sensory processing disorders.

I’m a single mom to an incredible son on the autism spectrum, and he’s been my biggest inspiration.

I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist for over 10 years, with a long-standing passion for haircutting. I consider myself a cutting specialist—skilled in men’s grooming, children’s haircuts, and women’s styles of all kinds.
During the pandemic, while pregnant with my son, I took a leap and spent two years working in ABA as a Registered Behavioral Technician. Psychology has always fascinated me, and I’ve always had a soft spot for children and individuals with special needs. That experience opened a new door in my life, and I fell in love with helping people feel understood and cared for.
Ultimately, combining both worlds just made sense—my love for ABA and my passion for haircutting. I began offering a therapeutic, sensory-friendly approach to haircuts on my own, and later I met Taylor… and the rest is history. Joining Sensory Cuts felt like the perfect fit, and I’m so excited to help create positive haircut experiences for every client who sits in my chair.
